BUTUAN CITY -- The Fourth Quarter 2023 Regional Population Executive Board (RPEB) meeting held on November 22 marked a momentous occasion as regional line agencies (RLAs) and provincial, city, and municipal population officers joined forces to shape the future through the adoption of crucial strategic plans.
Regional Population and Development Plan of Action (RPD-POA) for 2023-2028
In a unanimous decision, the RPEB - Caraga approved and adopted the Regional Population and Development Plan of Action (RPD-POA) for 2023-2028. Derived from the PPD-POA, approved and endorsed by President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. through MC No. 40 signed on November 14, 2023, and endorsed by the National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) Secretary, Dr. Arsenio M. Balisacan, the RPD-POA served as a guiding framework.
According to CPD-Caraga Regional Director Alexander A. Makinano, “This roadmap aimed to guide the region toward a balanced and sustainable future. The outlined strategies leveraged on demographic opportunities while mitigating challenges, ensuring the well-being and prosperity of Caraga region's residents across all age groups.”
