425 solo parents in Buenavista receive financial assistance
BUENAVISTA, Agusan del Norte -- Pre-qualified solo parents in the municipality recently received P2,000 each as financial assistance from Senator Ronald "Bato" Dela Rosa at J.P. Satorre gym.
The financial assistance helped the solo parents purchase grocery items and other needs of their children.
According to Mayor Joselito T. Roble, Sen. Dela Rosa allocated P1 million for the benefit of 425 qualified solo parents in Buenavista, from the 700 total solo parents in the municipality.
On behalf of the senator, Ethel Abejero-Comendador, head of Mindanao assured the mayor and solo parents that by next year there will be an increase in the budget for their sector. On the other hand, solo parent president, Atty. Juselle Tricia S. Roble, announced that everyone will be gathering again in December for the Christmas party.
Dela Rosa forged a partnership with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) to support the vulnerable sector of society such as the solo parents under the Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situations (AICS) program. (MLGU-Buenavista/PIA-Agusan del Norte)
