Agusan Sur cops plant Mahogany seedlings
AGUSAN DEL SUR -- Personnel of Agusan del Sur Police Provincial Office (ADSPPO) led by Police Colonel Jovito Canlapan, together with the representatives from the different sectors, participated in the tree planting activity on November 22, 2023 in Barangay Bitan-agan, San Francisco, this province.
A total of more or less 100 Mahogany seedlings were planted in the designated areas, symbolizing a significant step towards environmental sustainability.
“Joining this type of activity is very timely considering the bitter-truth about the effects of the global warming which resulted in stronger typhoons and other natural calamities worldwide that took thousands of lives. May this activity spread awareness about the significance of planting trees and inspire the citizenry to emulate similar acts even when no one is watching,” PCol. Canlapan said.
PCol. Canlapan was duly represented by Police Lieutenant Colonel (PLtCol.) Bonifacio Estrella, Jr., deputy provincial director for administration, along with PLtCol. Jude Cres Milan, chief of Provincial Community Affairs and Development Unit, Police Major Bryan Cres Campos, chief of Provincial Forensics Unit, 1st Agusan del Sur (ADS) Provincial Mobile Force Company (PMFC) headed by PLtCol. Nelson Nelmida, 2nd ADS Provincial Mobile Force Company (PMFC) headed by PLtCol. Feluvini Conseguera, in collaboration with San Francisco Municipal Police Station headed by PLtCol. Nathaniel Agatep and members of Kabataan Kontra Droga At Terorismo (KKDAT).
This is in line with the learning and growth perspective of the PNP P.A.T.R.O.L. Plan 2030 under the objective of developing a competent, well-motivated and values oriented police personnel and organization in relation to the transformation program of the organization. (ADSPPO/PIA-Agusan del Sur)
