FORECAST: The Zamboanga Peninsula will experience cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the Southwest Monsoon. These conditions may lead to possible flash floods or landslides, especially during moderate to occasionally heavy rainfall. The rest of Mindanao will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms also influenced by the Southwest Monsoon. Winds will be light to moderate from the southwest, with slight to moderate seas (wave height between 0.6 to 2.1 meters).

P22B pondo para palakasin ang healthcare sa bansa

Bunga ng mga naging karanasan at ng hangaring magkaroon ng repormang pangkalusugan, inihayag ni Department of Budget and Management's (DBM) Secretary Amenah F. Pangandaman ang alokasyong P22.98 bilyon sa ilalim ng panukalang 2024 national budget para sa health facilities ehancement program (HFEP) ng Department of Health (DOH), na layong palakasin at mapahusay ang mga pamantayan sa pangangalagang pangkalusugan sa buong bansa.

"The proposed budget for FY 2024 reflects our commitment to strengthening the fundamental pillars of our healthcare system," diin ni Secretary Pangandaman.

"With an allocated P22.98 billion, DOH's HFEP will continue to lead the way in scaling up the nation's healthcare facilities, a crucial aspect underpinning the realization of the Philippine Health Agenda (PHA)," dagdag pa ng kalihim.

Sa kanyang FY 2024 budget message, ipinunto rin ni Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., ang kahalagahan ng pagpapatibay ng imprastruktura ng kalusugan sa bansa.

“We will sustain our efforts in strengthening government healthcare services to safeguard the population from future health crises. By investing in state-of-the-art medical facilities, expanding healthcare access, and deploying healthcare professionals, we can provide high-quality care and respond effectively to any future health emergencies,” pahayag ni Pangulong Marcos.

Ang kabuuang alokasyon ng HFEP na P22,983,872,000 ay partikular na ilalaan sa pagtatayo, pag-upgrade, at pagpapalawak ng mga pasilidad ng pangangalagang pangkalusugan na pinapatakbo ng pamahalaan. Kabilang din sa popondohan nito ay pagbili ng mga kagamitan sa ospital at medical transport vehicles.

Prayoridad din ng programa ang Universal Health Care (UHC) sites at geographically isolated and disadvantaged areas (GIDAS), gayundin ang pag-upgrade ng mahahalagang pasilidad para sa matatag na mga hakbang sa pagtugon sa COVID-19 at mapabilis ang pagpapatayo ng mga kaugnay na proyekto.
