AgSur top cop awards performing cops, units

PROSPERIDAD, Agusan del Sur -- The Agusan del Sur Police Provincial Office (ADSPPO), headed by Police Colonel Jovito Canlapan, provincial director, led the awarding of deserving Philippine National Police (PNP) personnel with the Provincial Administrative Resource Management Unit (PARMU) as office primary responsible (OPR), during the flag raising ceremony on October 23, at the ADSPPO parade ground, Camp D.O. Plaza, Patin-ay, Prosperidad, this province.

On various operational accomplishments covering the period of October 9 to 15, 2023, San Francisco municipal police station, grabbed the top spot, followed by Bayugan City police station, and Prosperidad municipal police station as third place. Letter of commendation was also given to the non-uniformed personnel Jerson L. Osin, computer operator I of ADSPPO.

Certificate of commendation was also given to deserving unit stations that exerted effort in the conduct of accounting of pensioners for the 4th quarter of the calendar year 2023. Esperanza municipal police station ranked as first, Bayugan City police station as second, and Loreto municipal police station as third.

Another letter of commendation was given to the following units of the provincial headquarters for their outstanding performance in the Unit Performance Evaluation Rating (UPER) rankings for September 2023, as ranked by the regional headquarters:

-Provincial Administrative Resource Management Unit (PARMU) under the leadership of PLtCol. Nathaniel P Agatep;

-Provincial Intelligence Unit (PIU) headed by PLtCol. Bonifacio C Estrella Jr;

-Provincial Finance Section, managed by PMSg. Erwina D Cereno, claims and processing PNCO;

-Provincial Plans and Program Unit (PPU) led by PSMS Oliver A Palma Gil, plans and program PNCO; and 

-Provincial Information and Communications Technology Management Unit (PICTMU) with the dedicated service of PCpl. Michelle De Paz, logistic support PNCO.

Aside from recognizing the high-performing police stations for the specified period, a certificate of motivation was also given to the least-performing unit, as presented to Sibagat municipal police station, to motivate them to improve their productivity.

For giving of staff announcements, PLtCol. Jude Cres G Milan, chief PCADU, emphasized that all ADSPPO personnel should be police community relations (PCR) individuals, who share a positive vibes to everyone, and who fully embrace the mantra of ADSPPO. He concluded his message by quoting a famous line by Dr. Jose Rizal, stating, "That life that is not consecrated to a great idea is useless; It is a rough piece of marble lost in the field without forming part of any edifice."

PCol. Canlapan also reminded all ADSPPO personnel to be more active and to internalize the mantra of the regional director, which is the S.A.F.E - seen, approachable, felt, efficient.

This is in line with the learning and growth perspective of the PNP P.A.T.R.O.L. Plan 2030 under the objective of developing a competent, well-motivated and value-oriented police personnel and organization in relation to the transformation program of the organization. (ADSPPO/PIA-Agusan del Sur)
