AgSur hosts 1st advisory group summit

PROSPERIDAD, Agusan del Sur -- The local and regional Advisory Group for Police Transformation and Development (RAGPTD) chaired by Ryan Anthony Culima, together with the Caraga cops led by regional director Police Brigadier General Kirby John Brion Kraft, duly represented by Police Colonel Eleazar Matta, deputy regional director for Administration, and leaders from the provincial government of Agusan del Sur (PGAS) headed by Governor Santiago Cane Jr., convened recently at the Datu Lipus Makapandong covered court, Patin-ay, Prosperidad of this province, to grace the 1st Agusan del Sur Advisory Group Summit anchored on the theme: “Strengthening the PGS strategy partners towards real and lasting transformation and good governance in pursuit to PGS institutionalization.” 

Prior to the actual conduct of the summit, a press briefing was held at the same venue.

Series of information dissemination activities were conducted, including the topics on role of the advisory group in the PNP transformation; peace and order: legal frameworks for crime prevention; peace and order: collaboration of LGU with law enforcement; cluster workshop/presentation of output; and open forum and updates of the PNP P.A.T.R.O.L. Plan 2030. These were conducted to showcase the sturdy linkages between the PNP and  government sectors which served as the highlight of the aforesaid activity.

Praises filled the air as the different special presentation numbers were rendered by the cultural dancers of Agusan del Sur National Science High School, cultural and hiphop dance by Junior Exotic Dancers, Agusan del Sur Police Provincial Office (ADSPPO) Kabalikat Band, and Team PALALABs band that added color to the activity.

In his message, PCol. Jovito Canlapan, provincial director of ADSPPO, expressed his sincerest gratitude for the support displayed by the participating personnel which is instrumental in the realization of the success of the activity conducted.

“In behalf of the men and women of ADSPPO, I want to express my heartfelt appreciation to all the participants, speakers, and organizers who made this event a resounding success and to say “Thank you” is an understatement of how grateful we are for the support you showed to us despite your hectic schedule,” said Canlapan.

“I encourage everyone to carry the spirit of this summit forward and continue to engage in meaningful dialogue, cooperation, and innovation. Let's translate our shared vision into concrete actions that will benefit the people whom we have sworn to serve and protect,” Canlapan added.
