Possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to heavy rains. Minimal to minor threat to life and property due to strong winds. Northern Mindanao and the rest of Caraga will experience cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to TS “Ada”. Possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains. The rest of Mindanao will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms due to Localized Thunderstorms. Possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms. The eastern section of Mindanao will have moderate to strong winds from west to southwest with moderate to rough seas (2.1 to 3.4 meters). The rest of Mindanao will have light to moderate winds from northeast to northwest with slight to moderate seas (0.6 to 2.5 meters). At 3:00 PM today, the center of Tropical Storm "ADA" {NOKAEN} was estimated based on all available data at 270 km East of Borongan City, Eastern Samar (12.1°N, 127.9°E) with maximum sustained winds of 65 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 80 km/h. It is moving Northwestward at 20 km/h. Northeast Monsoon affecting Northern and Central Luzon.

Mahigit P12B pondo aprobado para sa informal settlers, mga biktima ng kalamidad

Inaprubahan na ni Department of Budget and Management (DBM) Secretary Amenah F. Pangandaman ang pagpapalabas ng Notice of Cash Allocation (NCA) na nagkakahalagang P12.259 bilyon bilang housing assistance sa mga biktima ng kalamidad at para sa resettlement ng informal settlers sa Western Visayas.

Ayon kay Pangandaman, tinatayang P12.059 bilyon ang pondo para sa housing assistance ng calamity victims (HAPCV) habang P200 milyon sa pagtatayo ng apat na yunit ng limang palapag na low-rise residential buildings sa Region VI (Western Visayas) para sa resettlement ng informal settler families (ISFs).

"Housing remains a priority for President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. as he strongly believes in the necessity of providing decent homes for Filipinos, particularly those adversely affected by calamities,” pahayag ni Secretary Pangandaman.

Ang kahilingan para sa mga pagbabayad, na sisingilin sa mga inilabas na allotment ng mga nakaraang taon, ay suportado ng dokumentadong listahan ng Special Allotment Release Orders (SAROs)  na nakalahad ang kaukulang halaga, status ng paggamit ng pondo, at finance accountability reports na beripikado ng DBM.

Ang NHA ay tanging ahensya ng pamahalaan na may mandatong tutukan ang mga proyektong pabahay para sa mga pamilyang may mababang kita. Sa ilalim ng pangangasiwa ng Department of Human Settlement and Urban Development (DHSUD), ang NHA ang nagsisilbing production at financing arm ng pamahalaan sa usaping pabahay. (DBM/PIA-Caraga)
