RTWPB-13 conducts productivity training to labor orgs
This activity assisted and facilitated the setting up of sustainable income and employment generating projects to directly improve the livelihood of the members and their families of the labor organizations/associations through specific trainings such as productivity enhancement, livelihood program orientation, basic accounting and to start group livelihood undertakings.
Eleven labor unions and associations represented by thirty-one participants from Surigao del Norte and forty-five from Surigao del Sur, while the Province of Dinagat Islands also joined the activity.
Atty. Joffrey M. Suyao, DOLE Caraga regional director, in his message stressed that this activity will enhance organization operations through livelihood, income generating activities and skills training for the members of the organizations.
On the other hand, Director Earl D. Dela Victoria, board secretary of RTWPB Caraga, discussed the following topics namely, (1) understanding the concepts and measures of Productivity; (2) different ways of productivity improvement and benefits; (3) identify productivity trainings needed by enterprise/organization.
Dir. Dela Victoria emphasized the importance of productivity to every labor
organization saying, “We have to do the things right, and do the right
things right. In order to grow and develop, we have to change our ways, we need
to have the right attitude, instilling productivity in every way.”
As a finale, RTWPB Caraga urged labor organizations to avail the free productivity trainings and services of the office. The office is very willing to impart productivity concepts and learnings to the members of the organizations.
