Authorities nab top 5 most wanted in SurSur
TANDAG CITY, Surigao del Sur -- Authorities arrested provincial level top five
Most Wanted Person on July 22, 2023, in Barangay Mabuhay, Tandag City in
Surigao del Sur.
Surigao del Sur Police Provincial Office (SDSPPO) chief, Police Colonel Harry
B. Domingo identified the arrested suspect as Jomar Purisima Jacinto, also
known as Johnly, male, 42 years old, with live-in partner, farmer and a
resident of Purok 9, Barangay Bolhoon, San Miguel, Surigao del Sur.
“The arrest of this Most Wanted Person is a testament to the commitment and
exceptional capabilities of Surigao del Sur police force in the relentless
pursuit of justice and preservation of public safety,” PCol Domingo said.
Based on the report, Jacinto was a former SYP Platoon 7, Guerrilla Front 19
(GF19) of North Eastern Mindanao Regional Committee (NEMRC) and presently a
member of Militia ng Bayan (MB) under GF19, NEMRC.
Accordingly, Jacinto was nabbed by a joint operation conducted by the PNP
personnel of 2nd Surigao del Sur Provincial Mobile Force Company (2nd SDS-PMFC)
and SDS Provincial Intelligence Unit (PIU) by virtue of a warrant of arrest
issued by Presiding Judge, Regional Trial Court, Branch 28, 11th Judicial
Region, Lianga, Surigao del Sur.
It was learned that the said accused was wanted for the crime of Rebellion
docketed under Criminal Case no L-2417 dated October 01, 2021, with no
recommended bail bond.
The arrested person who is under the custody of the 2nd SDSPMFC for proper
disposition. He was duly informed of his constitutional rights under Miranda
