FORECAST: The Zamboanga Peninsula will experience cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the Southwest Monsoon. These conditions may lead to possible flash floods or landslides, especially during moderate to occasionally heavy rainfall. The rest of Mindanao will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms also influenced by the Southwest Monsoon. Winds will be light to moderate from the southwest, with slight to moderate seas (wave height between 0.6 to 2.1 meters).

Donation of land paves construction of fire station in Tandag City

TANDAG CITY, Surigao del Sur -- A Deed of Donation of a parcel of land, containing an area of 898 square meters to the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) from the city government of Tandag, under the administration of Mayor Roxanne Pimentel was formally signed on June 19, 2023 held at the Tandag City Hall, of this city in Surigao del Sur.

The said activity proved the strong partnership that paved the way for the construction of a modern fire station in the city and it will be equipped with state of the art facilities for efficient emergency response in the city.

Together with the city mayor, Vice Mayor Eleanor Momo, Sangguniang Panlungsod members, provincial fire marshal CINSP Kenneth Van Delos Reyes, acting city fire marshal SINSP Shirly Erlina, Philippine National Police chief PLtCol. Vinn Duran, City Local Government Operations Officer Olivia Bagasbas, and LGU department heads were in attendance during the said activity.
