It is moving Northwestward at 10 km/h. Southwest Monsoon affecting Southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao. Butuan City, Agusan del Norte, Agusan del Sur, Dinagat Islands, Surigao del Norte and Surigao del Sur will experience Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms due to Trough of TS Jenny / Localized Thunderstorms. Possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms. Light to moderate winds coming from Southwest to West will prevail with slight to moderate seas (0.6 to 2.1 meters).

PNP Caraga hauls to jail 267 wanted persons in May

BUTUAN CITY -- The Police Regional Office (PRO)13 conducted series of intensive operations against individuals with standing warrants of arrest that successfully led to the apprehension of 267 wanted persons for the whole month of May in Caraga Region. 

Among the arrested, 47 were most wanted persons while 220 were other wanted persons. In addition to this period, five were categorized as most wanted persons in regional level, 16 in provincial level, and 26 in municipal level

PRO13 Director PBGen. Pablo G Labra II disclosed that Surigao del Sur Police Provincial Office (PPO) arrested the largest number with 64 including the number one most wanted person in the region Joel Belandres, also known as “Abarka”, 51 years old, a communist terrorist group (CTG) member who is charged with three counts of murder, five counts of frustrated murder, and attempted murder.

Abarka is a former member of weakened Guerilla Front 19, Sub-Regional Sentro de Grabidad (SRSDG), North Eastern Mindanao Regional Committee (NEMRC) who took part in the numerous CTG atrocities in Caraga.

Following the list was Butuan City Police Office with 59, Agusan del Sur PPO with 55, Surigao del Norte PPO with 52, Agusan del Norte with 28, and Dinagat Islands PPO with nine.

“These figures are the translations of the efforts exerted by our operatives on the ground to account for individuals sought by the law.
