DA delivers P4M equipment to corn association in SurSur town

SAN MIGUEL, Surigao del Sur -- The Department of Agriculture (DA) Caraga through the Corn Program successfully delivered the post-harvest facilities amounting to P4.08 million to San Miguel Corn Cluster Association in San Miguel, Surigao del Sur on May 31, 2023.

The association beneficiary received  a unit of four wheel drive farm tractor with accessories worth P2.39 million and a unit of a corn planter worth P1.69 million.

The mechanization approach under the corn program improves the farm productivity and income of the corn farmer-beneficiaries.

The activity was assisted and facilitated by the local government unit of San Miguel through the Municipal Agriculture Office (MAO), in collaboration with farmer-beneficiaries, Department of Agriculture (DA) - Agricultural Program Coordinating Office (APCO) Surigao del Sur, and the supplier of the said units.
