Possible flash floods or landslides during moderate to at times heavy rains. Rest of Mindanao will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms caused by Easterlies. Possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms. Moderate to strong winds from northeast to north prevails over the eastern section with moderate to rough seas (2.1 to 3.5 meters). LGU Hinatuan receives PaNata award from DSWD

HINATUAN, Surigao del Sur -- The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Caraga recognized the local government unit of Hinatuan with the PaNata (Pagkilala sa Natatanging Kontribusyon sa Bayan) Award.

Three recognitions were awarded to LGU Hinatuan namely, the Best LGU Implementing Sustainable Livelihood Program, the Model LGU Implementing After Care Program, and for its exemplary effort in the accomplishment of the Service Delivery Capacity Assessment, which were proudly received by Municipal Mayor Shem G. Garay and Municipal Social Welfare and Development Officer (MSWDO) Sunrise B. Tumanda on May 9, 2023 held at Almont Hotel Inland Resort, Butuan City, in time with the 72nd-anniversary celebration of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).

The PANATA Awards recognized the awardees' outstanding efforts and contributions to fulfilling the DSWD's mandate of improving the quality of life of the disadvantaged sectors.
