It is moving North Northwestward slowly. Southwest Monsoon affecting Southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao. Butuan City, Agusan del Norte, Agusan del Sur, Dinagat Islands, Surigao del Norte and Surigao del Sur will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms due Southwest Monsoon. Possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms. Moderate to Strong winds coming from South to Southwest will prevail with Moderate to Rough seas (1.2 to 2.8 meters).

Evaluation team validates nutrition program implementation in SurSur

TANDAG CITY, Surigao del Sur -- The conduct of the annual provincial monitoring and evaluation for the Local Nutrition Program Implementation for the province of Surigao del Sur is ongoing since April 13 until May 19, 2023, according to Provincial Nutrition Office chief Miloniza N. Serra.

The Provincial Nutrition Evaluation Team (PNET) visit all the local government units of the province comprising of two cities and 17 municipalities to evaluate their respective implementation and management of nutrition programs in 2022.

During the evaluation, Serra said that each of the Barangay Nutrition Scholars receives P1,000 as National Travel Allowance during the annual provincial monitoring and evaluation of local nutrition program implementation.

The chief added that the provincial government of Surigao del Sur headed by Governor Alexander Pimentel gives additional honorarium/incentive to the reported 251 BNS in the province in the amount of P1,000 each since the year 2022. 

Meanwhile, The Monitoring and Evaluation of Local Level Plan Implementation (MELLPI) Pro is designed to monitor and evaluate the performance of the local government units and Local Nutrition Focal Points (LNFPs) in promoting nutrition security vis-à-vis nutrition outcomes. The results of the MELLPI Pro aim to guide policy and decision-makers in enhancing nutrition products, services, and delivery systems towards improved effectiveness, efficiency, and sustainability.
