Chikiting Ligtas vax site available in TMO Dinagat

SAN JOSE, Dinagat Islands --The Department of Health’s nationwide vaccination drive for kids aged 9 to 59 months to get the much-needed boost made available at the Terminal Management Office in the province of Dinagat Islands, as it hosted the health department’s ‘Chikiting Ligtas’ program for thirty days beginning May 2, 2023, at the Port of San Jose's Passenger Terminal Building of this province.

Within the same week from launching date, around 100 children of passengers and clients already availed of the program to inoculate children aged 9-59 months old against measles and rubella with the vaccination of one (1) dose of Measles-Rubella (MR) vaccine, and children aged 0-59 months old against poliovirus types 1 and 3 with the vaccination of one (1) dose of Bivalent Oral Polio Vaccine.

“Chikiting Ligtas sa Dagdag Bakuna Kontra Polio, Rubella, at Tigdas,” is a nationwide campaign of the Department of Health aimed to prevent impending outbreaks from these vaccine-preventable diseases. (PPA-PMO Dinagat Islands/PIA-Dinagat Islands)
