Women cops distribute food packs, hygiene kits to hospital patients

BUTUAN CITY -- As part of Mother’s Day celebration, the women of Police Regional Office (PRO) 13 distributed 60 food packs and hygiene kits to the obstetrics and gynecology, and pediatric ward patients of the Agusan del Norte Provincial hospital in Butuan City on Friday, May 12.

PRO13 Director PBGen. Pablo G. Labra II said that the activity was carried out by the personnel of Regional Community Affairs Development Division 13 headed by PLTCol.  Yeelyne L. saligumba, assistant chief.

Most of the recipients were mothers who came from less-fortunate families.

Under the leadership of PBGen. Labra, his program thrust known as 'DADDI' includes strengthening the police community relations which is making headway on the ground.

“Although our mothers are recovering from their illness inside the hospital, somehow, they feel the celebration of Mother’s Day through the random act of kindness of our policewomen. PNP Caraga values our women who do not only perform as caring mothers to their own children, but to the community as well,” the regional director added. (PRO 13/PIA Caraga)
