It is moving West Northwestward at 25 km/h. Shear Line affecting the eastern section of Luzon. Northeast Monsoon affecting the rest of Northern Luzon. CARAGA will have rains with gusty winds caused by TD Verbena. Possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to heavy with at times intense rains. Minimal to minor threat to life and property due to strong winds. Rest of Mindanao will have cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to TD VERBENA. Possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to heavy rains. Moderate winds from northwest to southwest prevails on the rest of Mindanao, with moderate seas (1.5 to 2.5 meters).

Caraga RTWPB launches  productivity olympics

BUTUAN CITY -- The Regional Tripartite Wages & Productivity Board – Caraga formally launched the 2023 Productivity Olympics with the theme, “From Striving to Thriving: Reset and Reposition for Impact,” on April 19, 2023 in Butuan City.

Productivity Olympics is a biennial competition organized by the National Wages and Productivity Commission in coordination with the 16 Regional Boards showcasing the best productivity improvement programs for micro, small, and medium enterprises nationwide.

Board member Marvin Sanchez who represents the management sector, expressed his excitement about this year's competition. He urged the potential nominees to take advantage of the opportunities and showcase their best practices in terms of productivity improvement.

Edgar Allan Aquino from the labor sector emphasized the importance of this competition in building a strong relationship between labor and management. “By joining this competition, you are giving importance to how good is the labor-management relationship in your own respective companies in terms of showcasing the collective efforts of workers and management in productivity improvement,” he said. 

Board Chairperson Atty. Joffrey Suyao extended his gratitude to the attendees for responding to the invitation of the Board. He encouraged the companies to continue to adopt productivity practices and develop workers to be productive and competitive as well. He emphasized that taking good care of the workers is the best means to make a company productive.
