ADSPPO joins observance of the Philippine Veterans Week, 81st Araw ng Kagitingan

PROSPERIDAD, Agusan del Sur – The personnel of Agusan del Sur Police Provincial Office (ADSPPO) headed by Police Colonel Jovito Canlapan, provincial director, conducted on Monday, April 10 the Traditional Flag Raising Ceremony and the observance of the Philippine Veterans Week as well as the 81st Araw ng Kagitingan, held at ADSPPO Building, Camp D.O. Plaza, Patin-ay, Prosperidad, this province.

ADSPPO commemorated the Araw ng Kagitingan to honor the valor and sacrifices of the Filipino heroes who fought for the country’s freedom and democracy during World War II. 

PD Canlapan urged the PNP personnel in all stations of the province to renew their commitment to uphold the values of freedom, democracy, and patriotism, that were fought by our Filipino heroes. 

“Let us pay tribute to the men and women who continued to serve our country with honor and dedication, especially those who sacrificed their lives for the country. On this day, we honor the memory of the brave men and women who fought for our freedom and independence. We salute their courage, strength, and resilience on the face of tremendous hardship and adversity. We also remember the families and loved ones they left behind, who suffered the pain of separation and loss,” bared Canlapan.

"Let us also take a moment to reflect on the sacrifices of our heroes and express our gratitude for their service to our country. May their bravery and sacrifices inspire us to be better citizens and contribute to the progress and development of our nation," he added.
