"Lakbay Juana, Kasama Ka" program amplifies the voices of women in AgSur

PROSPERIDAD, Agusan del Sur – Breaking barriers and building bridges, this year’s National Women’s Month celebration highlighted gender equality and inclusivity, wherein personnel of the Agusan del Sur Police Provincial Office (ADSPPO) through Police Lieutenant Colonel (PLtCol.) Jude Cres Milan, under the close supervision of PCol. Jovito Canlapan, provincial director, conducted the motorcade dubbed “Lakbay Juana, Kasama Ka” Program at the San Francisco Municipal Ground, San Francisco, this province on March 28, 2023.

Said motorcade with a route from the Provincial Headquarters to San Francisco, ADS, successfully countered the founding year of the New People’s Army (NPA), as well as exemplifying women empowerment not only in the province but in the whole country.

It also served as a visual celebration and recognition of women achievements, contributions, and struggles throughout history. It raised awareness on relevant issues of women, promoted gender equality, and inspired women to pursue their dreams and aspirations.

“The PNP would like to extend warmest greetings to all women who are celebrating their month. All women are strong, capable, and deserve equal rights and opportunities. Your voices, ideas, and experiences are essential to creating a better, just and inclusive society. Keep fighting on what you believe in, and never underestimate the power of your voice and your action,” said  Canlapan.

This activity is in line with the PNP P.A.T.R.O.L Plan 2030 under the Learning and Growth (Malasakit of M+K+K=K) perspective of the PNP P.A.T.R.O.L. Plan 2030 under the objective of developing a responsive and highly professional police organization. (ADSPPO/PRO-13/PIA-Agusan del Sur)
