Consumer store now available inside Surigao port, favorable to passengers, clientele

SURIGAO CITY, Surigao del Norte -- There is now a convenient way to purchase food, grocery items and other stuff inside the Port of Surigao as the PPA Surigao Employees Service Cooperative (PPA SESC) opens a convenience store on Friday,  April 14, 2023.

With an ideal location adjacent to the Port of Surigao’s Port Integrated Clearance Office (PICO) and Business Center, the store is expected to not just cater to PMO Surigao personnel and employees of Globalport Surigao Terminals Inc. (GSTI), but to clients and port users doing business with the PPA as well.

Aside from ready-to-eat food, drinks, and grocery items, the store also offers staple food like rice, canned goods and frozen processed meat products, among others.

Pursuant to Art. 62 (2) of Republic Act No. 9520 or the Philippine Cooperative Code of 2008, the PPA SESC Convenience Store enjoys the free use of port real estate. (PPA-PMO, Surigao del Norte)
