Drug den dismantled in AgSur town; 3 arrested including LGU employee
AGUSAN DEL SUR -- An entrapment operation conducted by the joint elements of Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Agusan del Sur Provincial Office led by Jenalyn Tan, Provincial Officer, under the supervision of Director III Charlene Magdurulang, and Rosario Municipal Police Station, successfully smashed a drug den on March 6, 2023, located at Purok 6, Buhisan, Barangay Poblacion, Rosario, this province.
A drug den is a place
where any dangerous drug and/or controlled precursor and essential chemical is
administered, delivered, stored for illegal purposes, distributed, sold or used
in any form.
Three drug suspects were
apprehended including a local government employee in the area identified as
Vonn Canin Mazo. The drug den maintainer was identified as Junmark Goloran
Plaza while the other visitor was identified as Alvin Curato Dendero.
Several drug paraphernalia
were also confiscated including two improvised lighters, an aluminum foil
strip, and two improvised tooters. An estimated 11 grams of methamphetamine
hydrochloride or shabu was seized from the suspects worth almost php75,000.00.
The drug suspects will be
facing numerous anti-drug charges in violation of Sections 5 (sale of dangerous
drugs), 6 (maintenance of drug den), 7 (visiting drug den), 11 (possession of
dangerous drugs), 12 (possession of drug paraphernalia), and (use of dangerous
drugs), Article II of Republic Act 9165 also known as the “Comprehensive
Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002,” as amended by Republic Act 10640. (PDEA Caraga
