(PAGASA 24-HOUR PUBLIC WEATHER FORECAST as of Saturday, 19 July 2025) As of 3:00 AM today, the center of Tropical Depression “CRISING” was located at 530 km east of Juban, Sorsogon (13.0°N, 128.9°E). It has maximum sustained winds of 55 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 70 km/h. It is moving west-northwest at 15 km/h. Tropical Depression Crising is currently affecting Dinagat Islands and Surigao del Norte, while the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat) continues to affect the rest of Mindanao. Dinagat Islands and Surigao del Norte will experience cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms due to TD Crising. Flash floods or landslides are possible during moderate to at times heavy rainfall. Zamboanga Peninsula, Northern Mindanao, and the rest of Caraga will have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms caused by the Southwest Monsoon. The rest of Mindanao will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms, also due to the Southwest Monsoon. Winds will be moderate from the southwest to west, with moderate seas (wave height: 1.2 to 2.5 meters).

DILG Caraga leads Regional Partnership Forum for LGU CapDev Harmonization

BUTUAN CITY -- Spearheaded by the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Caraga, the Support to Upscaling Organizational Grit of Local Government Units Program (SULONG) Program: Regional Partnership Forum was conducted on February 28, 2023 at the Watergate Boutique Hotel, this city. 

It was well attended by representatives from Caraga's five provincial governments and the highly urbanized City of Butuan, national government agencies (NGAs), Local Resource Institutes (LRIs), and Civil Society Organizations (CSOs).

In her rationale, DILG Caraga Local Government Capability Development Division Chief LGOO VII Annabel F. Yangson, highlighted that the Support to Upscaling Organizational Grit of Local Government Units Program is a response to the organization’s role as the overseer of capacity development interventions for LGUs. It is geared toward developing an appropriate mechanism to harmonize all CapDev intervention of regional line agencies and other third-party service providers.

The activity was an offshoot of the Kakadiaoan Hong Caraga Capdev Expo last November 28, 2023 where the different partners earnestly committed to journey with the DILG in shaping the capacities of the LGUs by enhancing the capacity development framework of the region. 

Fruitful discussions between and among the Capdev Market - NGAs, LRIs and CSOs, and the LGUs in relation to the priority CapDev requirements of LGUs, took place during the Regional Partnership Forum.

DILG Caraga also acknowledged the vital role of partners in establishing a harmonized platform in the provision of capacity development interventions for the LGUs. Moreover, all stakeholders present were enjoined to continue working together for the goal of excellence in local governance especially in the light of Full Devolution. (LGOO II Dorothy Jill D.
