It is moving Westward slowly. Surigao del Norte, Surigao del Sur, Dinagat Islands and Camiguin Island will have rains with gusty winds due to TD Wilma. Possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to heavy rains with at times intense rains. Minimal to minor threat to life and property due to strong winds. While the rest Northern Mindanao, the rest of Caraga, and Zamboanga Peninsula will have Cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to TD Wilma. Possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to heavy rains. The rest of Mindanao will have Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms due to Localized Thunderstorms. Moderate to Strong winds from Northeast to Northwest will prevail over the western sections of Mindanao with moderate to rough seas (1.5 to 2.8 meters). Elsewhere, moderate to strong winds from the Northwest to Southwest with moderate to rough seas (1.2 to 2.5 meters). Women's federation in SurSur holds 'Tabo sa Kababaehan' for Women's Month

BISLIG CITY, Surigao del Sur -- In line with the celebration of National Women’s Month, the Federation of Bislig Women’s Association (FOBWA) – Cluster (3, 4, 5, & 6) together with the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO), hosted a clustered 'Tabo sa Kababaehan,' on March 14, 16, 22 and 24, 2023.

Various activities were open to the public such as volleyball games, some recreational games, singing contests, and dance contest.

The public availed of free services offered such as training on special pork chicharron making and banana chips making, health and wellness-massage therapy, and beauty care including manicures and haircuts.

The FOBWA Cluster 6 had special competitions such as best table skirting, highest training barangay, and gandang nanay ng Cluster 6, which showcased the skills of the members of the association, which empower them as women with confidence and high self-esteem.

Meanwhile, Philippine Red Cross Surigao del Sur Chapter Board chairperson Rosalinda Cruz-Pimentel graced the occasion and extended her support, gratitude, and generosity by handing out additional cash prizes for the events on various competitions. (NGPB/Jessa Deguito/CIO-Bislig/PIA-Surigao del Sur)
