Local glass supply scales up production efficiency with innovative equipment upgrade from DOST-SETUP

SURIGAO CITY, Surigao del Norte -- A local glass supply in Surigao City is now fully equipped with the latest technology for its upgraded services to better service the clients after having successfully procured the roll up shutter slat and railing roll forming machines from the Department of Science and Technology.

The upgraded services was acquired by MM Glass Supply through the Small Enterprise Technology Upgrading Program (SETUP) of the DOST with the project dubbed as, “Upgrading the Production Facility of MM Glass Supply through Science and Technology Intervention.”

This initiative to help business firms acquire new and improved technology and equipment for their operations is in line with DOST’s efforts to provide support mechanisms for MSMEs and the industries. The upgraded facility is expected to address the technological gaps of the firm through science, technology, and innovation, particularly, to accommodate the growing demand for roll up doors and become a more competitive enterprise.

The SETUP program enables firms to address their technical problems through acquisition and transfer of technology interventions. DOST-Surigao del Norte is also inviting interested MSMEs in the province to avail of the SETUP Program. (DOST- SDN/PIA-Surigao del Norte)
