Laban ng Lahi 4th Edition January Storm hits Bislig City

BISLIG CITY, Surigao del Sur --  The "Laban ng Lahi" 4th Edition January Storm hits the City of Bislig for their sports event campaign last January 22 to 31, 2023, spearheaded by Mr. Joenel Pogoy, with the theme "Bayanihan Para sa Kaunlaran".

The Local Government Unit of Bislig City officials headed by Florencio C. Garay and the members of the 9th Sangguniang Panlungsod supported the event to  generate and promote economic activities and escalate the tourism industry in the city.

Based on the report, for the Volleyball Men, there were three (3) participating teams. The team from the Philippine Navy grabbed the grand prize, followed by the Makabagong San Juan team ranked second, and Bislig Selection Team in third place respectively. They played at Bislig City Cultural and Sports Center (BCCSC). The champion received one million pesos (1,000,000) cash prize.

Eight (8) teams participated in the 23km. Platoon Run Challenge that started their race from Tinuy-an Falls and ended at Bislig City Baywalk, on February 1, 2023. The champion received three million pesos (Php 3,000,000) cash prize.

The awarding of the prizes took place at Bislig City Cultural and Sports Center (BCCSC).
