(PAGASA 24-HOUR PUBLIC WEATHER FORECAST as of Friday, 05 December 2025) At 3:00 PM today, the center of Tropical Depression "WILMA" was estimated based on all available data at 180 km East of Borongan City, Eastern Samar (11.7°N 127.1°E) with maximum sustained winds of 45 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 55 km/h. It is moving Westward slowly. Surigao del Norte, Surigao del Sur, Dinagat Islands and Camiguin Island will have rains with gusty winds due to TD Wilma. Possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to heavy rains with at times intense rains. Minimal to minor threat to life and property due to strong winds. While the rest Northern Mindanao, the rest of Caraga, and Zamboanga Peninsula will have Cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to TD Wilma. Possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to heavy rains. The rest of Mindanao will have Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms due to Localized Thunderstorms. Moderate to Strong winds from Northeast to Northwest will prevail over the western sections of Mindanao with moderate to rough seas (1.5 to 2.8 meters). Elsewhere, moderate to strong winds from the Northwest to Southwest with moderate to rough seas (1.2 to 2.5 meters). DAR distributes 119 CLOAs to SurSur ARBs

TANDAG CITY, Surigao del Sur -- A total of 119 Certificates of Land Ownership Award (CLOAs) composed of 222.10777 hectares of land were received by the Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries (ARBs) of Surigao del Sur from the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) on Thursday, February 2, 2023, held at the North Eastern Mindanao State University (NEMSU) Gymnasium in Tandag City.

A total of 49.7002 hectares of land for the First District of Surigao del Sur was awarded to 39 ARBs from the  municipalities of Cagwait, Marihatag, San Miguel, Tago, Lianga, and Tandag City. While the Second District, 86 ARBs from the municipalities of Barobo, Hinatuan, Tagbina, and the City of Bislig received the 172,4075 hectares of land.

DAR Secretary Conrado Estrella, III was ably represented by Undersecretary Field Operations Office Atty. Kazel Celeste led the distribution of the CLOAs to the recipients, assisted by First District Congressman Romeo Momo Sr., and Governor Alexander T. Pimentel. The local chief executives and representatives of the eight  municipalities and two cities were also in attendance during the event.

The implementation of the Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program (CARP) of the department, Surigao del Sur, has a total Working Scope of 61,102.82 hectares or 84.01% of the total CARP Scope has been distributed to 28,217 ARBs leaving a balance of 9,764.86 hectares.

Accordingly, an 8,298.24 hectares of land is parked in the Optool land acquisition and distribution (LAD) database, thus  there is a LAD balance of 1,466.62 hectares as of to date.

Department of Agrarian Reform Provincial Office (DARPO) of Surigao del Sur, headed by PARPO Leoncio Bautista revealed that Surigao del Sur has a total of 44 Agrarian Reform Communities (ARCs0, and 73 Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries Organizations (ARBOs). (PIA-Surigao del Sur)
