DTI conducts training to entrepreneurs of Cagdianao

SAN JOSE, Dinagat Islands -- The Department of Trade and Industry- Dinagat Islands in partnership with the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) through the Philippine Business for Social Progress (PBSP), and the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Cagdianao conducted a three-day Business Management training for 50 selected women entrepreneurs affected by Typhoon Odette in Cagdianao town on January 30 to February 1, 2023 held at Barangay Poblacion, Cagdianao, Dinagat Islands.

The activity aims for livelihood restoration and recovery by providing support in addressing the immediate, medium, and long-term interventions toward economic resiliency in the province.

The recipients of the livelihood assistance undergo a series of business-related training with topics such as; How to do a Business and Entrepreneurial Mind Setting, a discussion on the first day. 

Meanwhile, Financial Management and Business Expenses Savings Training (BEST Game) were discussed in the second day, and Visual Merchandising on the third day to equip and prepare the participants in managing their micro businesses.

One of the participants Ms. Dorie Abellano said "Bahin baja sa pag negosyo, kinahanglan ato gajud tarongon pagplano unhon pagpalambo. Dapat baja kon jaoy ato ginansya, ang 30% savings, ang lain 30% para sa maintenance, ug ang 40% idugang sa puhunan. Sanan dapat marajaw kita mu entertain sa ato customer. Dili dapat kita magmusdong, dapat happy kita pirme muatubang sa ila."

On the other hand, Ms. Frances Daryl Dumagan said, “Ang ako nakat-onan sa day 2 sa ato training kay unhon nato pagdaya sa ato business. Dapat kahibayo kita unhon pagbaligya sa ato produkto. Kinahanglan gajud kita magsuyat, maglantaw sa resibo sa ato gipalit. Isuyat nato kung pila ang  kwarta na nigawas ug nisuyod aron hibaw-an nato kung nitubo or nikita ba kita. Sanan kinahanglan na mag save gajud kita. Salamat."
