Five Bisliganon OFWs receive livelihood assistance from OWWA

BISLIG CITY, Surigao del Sur -- Some five (5) Bisliiganons  who are Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) as qualified beneficiaries of the Balik Pinas Balik Hanapbuhay Program (BPBH) received livelihood assistance  from Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) in partnership with the Local Government Unit of Bislig City on January 9, 2023, held at the City Mayor’s Office of Bislig City.

No less than Local Chief Executive Florencio C. Garay assisted by Public Employment Service Office (PESO) Ms. Laine S. Elechicon, and OWWA personnel Ms. Lorie Ann Hilongos facilitated the awarding of livelihood assistance to the Bisliganon OFWs.

The OWWA BPBH program is livelihood assistance intended for distressed or displaced OFWs to augment economic instability.

The beneficiaries accordingly received cheques ranging from Php 5,000, Php 10,000, and Php 20,000 for their proposed income generating projects/ and businesses such as poultry, sari-sari store, Piso wifi, fishing business and as medical assistance. (CIO-Bislig)
