Possible flash floods or landslides during moderate to at times heavy rains. Rest of Mindanao will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms caused by Easterlies. Possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms. Moderate to strong winds from northeast to north prevails over the eastern section with moderate to rough seas (2.1 to 3.5 meters). PAFCIPIC – Butuan awards livelihood starter kits to FRs

BUENAVISTA, Agusan del Norte --  As part of the government’s continuous efforts to assist and give hope to the Former Rebels (FRs) in their reintegration to the mainstream society, the Philippine Army Finance Center Producers Integrated Cooperative (PAFCIPIC) - Butuan in partnership with the 23rd Infantry (Masigasig) Battalion, Philippine Army, distributed livelihood starter kits to FRs at the headquarters of 23IB on 9 January 2023.

The activity was part of PAFCIPIC – Butuan’s Community Development program which aims to provide alternative solution to the effects of unemployment and the lack of sources of income among marginalized sector.

"We are grateful to be of service to the people, atong mga kaigsuonan nga nalingla kaniadto sa sayop nga ideolohiya, mao nga kita dako kaayog suporta sa ilang pagbag-o sa kinabuhi, mao ni ang gahom nga gihatag sa Executive Order No. 70 o The Whole of Nation Approach [our brothers and sisters who were deceived by the wroing belief , that is why we are supporting them in this change and transition , this is the power of Executive Order NO. 7] . We are giving our best efforts to uplift the welfare and the lives of our brothers and sisters nga karon nibalik na sa atong gobyerno, salamat kaayo sa pagpamatuod nga naa ka kanunay makatabang nila [our brothers and sisters who went back to the government , thank you 23IB for always helping them],” said Ms Mary Grace Lanchita, PAFCIPIC, Branch Manager. 

Major Samuel P Maglinao (INF) PA, Executive Officer of 23IB, expressed his deepest gratitude to the efforts of the   PAFCIPIC for the program which showed the government’s truthfulness and sincerity in contributing to the cessation of hostilities and violence that will contribute to  achieve a lasting peace.

“Our government offers have opportunities to help you to become an independent individual. We hope that you have great plans on how to manage the financial assistance and other support given to you. Make use of all the assistance you received, but use it wisely in order for you to have sustainable livelihood.
