It is moving West Northwestward at 15 km/h. Light to Moderate rains are expected over #TawiTawi(TurtleIslands), #ZamboangaDelNorte, #ZamboangaSibugay(Payao, Imelda and Malangas) within the next 2-3 hours. Moderate to occasionally heavy rains are being experienced in #TawiTawi(Mapun), #Sulu(Pangutaran), #ZamboangaSibugay(Alicia, Mabuhay, Talusan and Olutanga) which may persist within 2-3 hours and may affect nearby areas.

DTI Dinagat Islands conducts seminar on Business Opportunities on Coconut and Coco Shell handicrafts

SAN JOSE, Dinagat Islands -- The Department of Trade and Industry-Dinagat Islands, through the Negosyo Center Libjo has conducted a two-day seminar on Business Opportunities on Coconut cum Skills Training on Coco Shell Handicrafts to women-led groups and individuals held at Barangay Hall, Brgy. General Aguinaldo, Libjo town.

The activity was participated by 40 women composed of coconut farmers and tenants. Ms. Leonila V. Ricablanca, a Maranao from Marawi City, shared her crafting and fashion design skills on coco shells with the participants. Several products made were coco wallets, bracelets, and earrings.

The purpose of the activity is to impart business opportunities on coconut and to train participants on maximizing resources through product creation out of coconut shells. (DTI- Dinagat Islands/PIA- Dinagat Islands)
