Port kids get a McDonalds Christmas Treat

SURIGAO CITY, Surigao del Norte -- Not even overcast skies and gloomy weather dampened the cheerful holiday spirit as port kids troop to a local McDonalds store for an afternoon of fun and games on Monday, 19 December 2022.

Traditionally held at the GAD Center of the PMO Surigao Administration Building, which was badly damaged by Typhoon Odette, this year’s kiddie Christmas Party was the first face-to-face celebration after the Covid-19 pandemic.

Happiness and intense excitement can be gleaned on the innocent faces of around sixty children of the PMO's organic, outsourced and utility personnel who were treated to good food and beverages. McDonalds has been all decked up for Christmas-- where the PMO prepared fun activities and games for the kids to enjoy.

“We want to make them happy, even for a few hours, and made sure that the event would be fun-filled so they could always look back at the fond memories they’ve had at McDonalds," said PMO Acting Port Manager Froilan Caturla. (PMO- PPA/ PIA- Surigao del Norte)
