The rest of Mindanao will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to northeast monsoon. Moderate to strong winds from North to Northeast with moderate to strong seas will prevail over eastern section of Mindanao (2.5 to 4.0 meters). Meanwhile, the rest of Mindanao will have light to moderate winds from Northeast to North with slight to moderate seas (0.6 to 2.5 meters) Northeast Monsoon affecting the country.

PPO Dinagat Islands launches revitalized KASIMBAYANAN program

SAN JOSE, Dinagat Islands -- The Dinagat Islands Provincial Police Office (DIPPO) has recently launched the revitalized program of the Philippine National Police dubbed as, "KASIMBAYANAN" (Kapulisan, Simbahan at Pamayanan) during the Monday Flag Raising Ceremony held at DIPPO Ground, San Jose, this province.

The KASIMBAYANIHAN program, is a community mobilization program by Chief PNP Police General Rodolfo S. Azurin, Jr. which aims to promote camaraderie between the PNP, the church and the community and plays a vital role in the realization of the M+K+K=K or Malasakit, Kaayusan, Kapayapaan tungo sa Kaunlaran program.

In her message, DILG Assistant Provincial Director Rowena S. Acabal said , "there are two words to ponder , 1. serve and 2. protect the community as the ultimate mandate provided in the 1987 Philippine Constitution, this mandate is not implied only in the hands of AFP, PNP, Local Government Unit but it is the primordial concern of every citizenry and the community."

"Through this program KASIMBAYANAN, there will be lined up continuing community engagements,  policies, community relations and religious activities. Katuwang ng kapulisan ang simbahan at pamayanan sa pagkamit ng ating ninanais na kaunlaran carrying the PNP’s tagline Life is Beautiful... Kaligtasan nyo Sagot Ko...Tulong tulong Tayo," said Acabal.

Meanwhile, Dinagat Police Provincial Office OIC Police Colonel Ariel R. Red extended his sincere gratitude to all the religious sectors and organizations for being one in the desire to maintain and ensure peace and order in the province. 

“If we continue to support the PNP’s program we will achieve the tranquility we are enjoying now, the number of tourists will increase and the progress of this province will improve even more." Col. Red said.
