POPCOM Caraga conducts FP free ligation, vasectomy services

BUENAVISTA, Agusan del Norte -- The Commission on Population and Development (POPCOM) – Caraga Region is set to conduct Family Planning service delivery on Bilateral Tubal Ligation (BTL), Non-Scalpel Vasectomy (NSV), for the Province of Dinagat Islands, Surigao City and Surigao del Norte, Agusan del Sur, and Agusan del Norte starting October 11 up to 14, 2022.

POPCOM Family Planning Itinerant Team eyes to provide FP service delivery on BTL and NSV to 20 target clients for PDI at Albor District Hospital, 40 target clients for Surigao City and SDN at Caraga Regional Hospital, and 25 target clients for La Paz, ADS at La Paz Municipal Hospital.

Moreover, POPCOM-Caraga will also conduct FP service delivery on Progestin Sub-dermal Implant to 25 target clients per municipality; Las Nieves, Carmen, Kitcharao, Jabonga, RTR, and Magallanes, Agusan del Norte, this October.

As a devolution principle and to enhance local autonomy, POPCOM Caraga Family Wellness Clinic is augmenting the basic services assigned to local government units when such services are not made available or, if made available, are inadequate to meet the requirements of its inhabitants.
