Bislig LCE congratulates Young Tiger Team as they bagged 14 medals

BISLIG CITY, Surigao del Sur -- Bislig City Mayor Florencio C. Garay  expressed delight and congratulated the Bislig Shotokan Karatedo Team "Young Tiger" who came victorious with 14 medals and brought honor and pride to their hometown.

The Bislig Shotokan Karatedo Team "Young Tiger" with their Chief Instructor, Mr. Rex Retaga Ronquillo, paid a courtesy visit to Mayor Florencio C. Garay on September 9, 2022, at the Office of the City Mayor. 

 

The Bislig Shotokan Karatedo Team "Young Tiger"  received a total of 14 medals consisting of the following:

● 3 - gold medals,

● 3 - silver medals, and 

● 8 - bronze medals.

 

Accordingly, the team emerged as 6th placer among the 20 competitors from different cities in the 2022 Kalivungan Festival Karatedo Tournament last August 28, 2022, held in Amas, Kidapawan City.

 

The Bislig Shotokan Karatedo is also a member of Japan Karate Shotokan (JKS) and Mindanao Japan Karate Association (MJKA), it was learned. (CIO-Bislig)
