NNC Caraga receives PRCs CPD certificate
BUTUAN CITY – The National Nutrition Council (NNC) Caraga during its Turn-Over Ceremony received a Certificate of Accreditation as Continuing Professional Development Provider (CPD) by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) on 20 June 2022 at the PRC Regional Office Caraga, Robinson’s Place, this city.
In May 2022, after completion of requirements. the CPD Council of Nutrition and Dietetics granted NNC Caraga as a CPD provider in accordance with the Implementing Rules and Regulation (IRR) of the Republic Act 10912 or the CPD Act of 2016 set forth by the PRC.Regional Director Cheryll P Elicano, announced that as the ninth agency accredited by the PRC as CPD Provider, more professionals will now have access to free learning opportunities to the program which will be provided by NNC Caraga.
PRC Caraga recognized the NNC-Caraga as a new asset for professional growth in Caraga region as claimed by RD Elicano.
In turn, Dr. Nino Archie S. Labordo, the Officer-in-Charge of NNC Caraga thanked the PRC for the professional guidance and facilitation of the accreditation process.
As CPD accredited agency, Dr. Labordo assured that programs intended for professionals will be provided for free and will be accessible to health and nutrition service-providers even in the local government units.
From its date of accreditation, NNC Caraga has uploaded three programs with selected profession granted CPD credit units.
Available programs submitted are Training-Workshop on Local Nutrition Action Plan formulation, Nutrition Month Launching Activity and advocacy forum on Breastfeeding and EO 51/Milk Code of the Philippines.
