Lipata Ferry Terminal Gets Safety Seal Certification

SURIGAO CITY, Surigao del Norte, June 9 (PIA) --The Lipata Ferry Terminal in Surigao City got the much-coveted Safety Seal Certification for compliance and adherence with the minimum public health standards set forth by the government to contain the spread of COVID 19 and prevent future surges.

The Safety Seal was given recently by an inspectorate team composed of representatives from the Surigao del Norte Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) , Philippine National Police (PNP) Surigao City, and Surigao City Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) after conducting an on-site ocular inspection and verification of the terminal’s buildings and physical facilities.

Terminal Management Office (TMO) of Lipata Manager Allan P. Yap received the seal on behalf of the Philippine Ports Authority – Port Management Office Surigao.

The Safety Seal Certification is a voluntary certification scheme to affirm that an establishment is compliant with the minimum public health standards set by the government.

It aims to increase the compliance of establishments to the strict implementation of public health standards and increase public confidence as the country reopens the economy. (PPA-PMO Surigao City/PIA-Surigao del Norte)
