SurSur PPO holds drone refresher training

TANDAG CITY, Surigao del Sur -- The Surigao del Sur Police Provincial Office (SDS PPO) successfully conducted the 2-day Drone Refresher Training and 1st Provincial Director Aerial and Photography Competition on March 29-30, 2022 held at the SDS PPO Camp Vicente L. Pimentel Sr., Tandag City. 



Provincial Director PCol Joseph Boquiren disclosed that the said activity was participated by four non-commissioned police officers coming from the 1st and 2nd SDS Provincial Mobile Force Company (PMFC) who are designated as drone operators. The activity is in line with the Philippine National Police Master Training Plan 2022.

 

The purpose of the Drone Refresher Training, according to the official, aims to ensure that the operators have a basic understanding of aerodynamics, weather, regulations, and safety to unlock many potential uses and benefits of drones in anti-insurgency surveillance operations.

 

Participants from the 1st SDS PMFC were declared as winners in the single-shot photography while the 2nd SDS PMFC won the aerial video competition and was adjudged as the overall champion. (PNP-Surigao del Sur/NGPB/PIA-Surigao del Sur)
