PDI farmers receive cash aid from DA Caraga

SAN JOSE, Dinagat Islands -- The Department of Agriculture (DA)-Caraga, through its Rice Farmers Financial Assistance (RFFA) Program, has released financial support to 1,752 rice farmers in the Province of Dinagat Islands.

Under the Rice Competitiveness Enhancement Fund (RCEF), the RFFA provides Php5,000 cash assistance to smallholder farmers regionwide who cultivate two hectares and below. Beneficiaries are registered in the Registry System for Basic Sectors in Agriculture (RSBSA).

The said distribution is facilitated by the DA-Caraga Field Operations Division – Extension and Partnership Section and Agricultural Program Coordinating Office headed by Rey Frias, in coordination with the provincial/municipal agriculture offices of the local government units.
