SurSur LGU 'immortalizes' centennial celebration in stamps

BISLIG CITY, Surigao del Sur – The local government of Bislig City in collaboration with the Philippine Postal Corporation issued commemorative stamps in connection with the Centennial Celebration of the City of Bislig, which was founded in 1921.

The stamps feature the official Centennial Poster for Bislig, the world-famous Tinuy-an Falls, the wondrous Kawa Kawa, and the joyous Karawasan Festival, and the official "First Day" cover that features the placid scenery of Lawigan Beach Resort and the Philippine Eagle, representing the rich culture and history of the city.

The stamps are available for purchase at the City Treasurer's Office for PhP12 each. (CIO-Bislig/PIA-Surigao del Sur)
