It is moving West Southwestward at 30 km/h. SurSur town extends relief assistance to typhoon victims in Surigao Norte town 

CARRASCAL, Surigao del Sur -- The local government unit of Carrascal, headed by Mayor Vicente H. Pimentel III, provided relief assistance to fellow Surigaonons in the municipality of San Francisco (Anao-aon), Surigao del Norte province who were affected by Typhoon Odette.

A composite team, composed of responders and volunteers from different offices of the LGU and personnel from the municipal police office, was sent to distribute 1,000 food packs, 7,000 liters of bottled water, and clothing donations in Barangays Diaz and Honrado in the said municipality on January 6, 2022.

Snack food company Rebisco Biscuit Corporation also assisted LGU-Carrascal's initiative and chipped in 70 boxes of biscuits. Carrascalnons were also eager to lend a helping hand and supplied the clothing donations. 

San Francisco municipal mayor Val Pinat personally expressed his gratitude for the LGU's effort to help their municipality. Amado Sajol Sr., punong barangay of Barangay Diaz and Nicolas L. Bernadez, punong barangay of Barangay Honrado, also expressed their gratitude for the team's effort and the LGUs effort to extend assistance to their barangays.
