Surigao Norte cops nab Top 2 Wanted Person for rape

SURIGAO CITY, Surigao del Norte -- The Surigao del Norte Police Provincial Office (SDN PPO) arrested the Top 2 Wanted Person of Attempted Rape in the province in Brgy. Cabugao, Bacuag, Surigao del Norte in a joint operation on Sunday, January 16.

SDN PPO provincial director PCol Renato Mercado identified the suspect as Resty Buar Lluca, 58 yrs.old, single, male, farmer and a resident of P-2 Brgy. Bugas Bugas, Placer, Surigao del Norte who was apprehended by the joint elements of Placer Municipal Police Station and Provincial Intelligence Unit (PIU) of SDN PPO.

Lluca has a standing arrest warrant for the crime of attempted rape under Criminal Case No. 7789 with a recommended bail of PhP120,000 issued by the RTC Branch 29, 10th Judicial Region in Surigao City.

"I laud our police officers' efforts in apprehending this criminal. We assure the public that these individuals will be held accountable for the crimes they have committed," said Mercado. (PNP-Surigao del Norte/PIA-Surigao del Norte)
