Northern Mindanao and the rest of Caraga will experience cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to TS “Ada”. Possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains. The rest of Mindanao will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms due to Localized Thunderstorms. Possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms. The eastern section of Mindanao will have moderate to strong winds from west to southwest with moderate to rough seas (2.1 to 3.4 meters). The rest of Mindanao will have light to moderate winds from northeast to northwest with slight to moderate seas (0.6 to 2.5 meters). At 3:00 PM today, the center of Tropical Storm "ADA" {NOKAEN} was estimated based on all available data at 270 km East of Borongan City, Eastern Samar (12.1°N, 127.9°E) with maximum sustained winds of 65 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 80 km/h. It is moving Northwestward at 20 km/h. Northeast Monsoon affecting Northern and Central Luzon.

Zero firecracker-related injuries sa SurSur ibinida matapos ang pagtawid sa bagong taon 

LUNGSOD NG TANDAG, Surigao del Sur -- Magkakatugma ang ulat ng pinakamalaking pampublikong pagamutan ng Department of Health (DOH) sa Surigao del Sur, Police Provincial Office (PPO), at Provincial Health Office (PHO) tungkol sa zero firecracker-related injuries sa pagsalubong sa bagong taon.

Sa hiwalay na mga panayam, sinabi nina Adela Serra-Ty Memorial Medical Center (ASTMMC) information officer Recklyn Ruaza, Police Provincial Office (PPO) Public Information Officer (PIO) P/Lt. Col. Ray Sorreda, at Health Education Promotion Officer (HEPO) Helbert Lugo na tagumpay ang patuloy na kampanya ng gobyerno laban sa paggamit ng bawal na mga paputok.

Abot-abot naman ang pasasalamat ng Surigao del Sur Police Provincial Office (SDSPPO) sa pamumuno ni PNP provincial director Col. Joseph Boquiren dahil sa pakikiisa ng publiko sa kampanyang Oplan Iwas-Paputok.

Pambungad na araw pa lang ng buwan ng Disyembre nang nagtalikod na taon ay agad inilunsad ng Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) ang kampanya tungkol sa Oplan Iwas-Paputok tampok ang ginawang pag-iikot ng mga firetrucks ng bumbero sa kada local government unit (LGU). (DXJS RP-Tandag/PIA-Surigao del Sur)
