(PAGASA 24-HOUR PUBLIC WEATHER FORECAST as of Thursday, 06 November 2025) At 3:00 AM today, the center of Typhoon "TINO" {KALMAEGI} was estimated based on all available data over the coastal waters of Taytay, Palawan (11.1°N, 119.9°E) with maximum sustained winds of 120 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 165 km/h. It is moving West Northwestward at 15 km/h. Light to Moderate rains are expected over #TawiTawi(TurtleIslands), #ZamboangaDelNorte, #ZamboangaSibugay(Payao, Imelda and Malangas) within the next 2-3 hours. Moderate to occasionally heavy rains are being experienced in #TawiTawi(Mapun), #Sulu(Pangutaran), #ZamboangaSibugay(Alicia, Mabuhay, Talusan and Olutanga) which may persist within 2-3 hours and may affect nearby areas.

DA turns over 40 heads of gilts to SurSur livestock farmers

TANDAG CITY, Surigao del Sur -- The Department of Agriculture (DA) - Caraga through its livestock program turned over 40 heads of gilt pig to four clustered associations in the province of Surigao del Sur on August 8.

The gilt pigs amounting to P1.3 million would serve as additional stock for the swine industry under the Livestock-based and Enterprise Development Program.

Moreover, 319 bags of feeds were also distributed amounting to P417,418.00.

According to Regional Livestock Program Coordinator Jekem Sanchez, 10 gilt pigs will be apportioned to every four clusters of Surigao del Sur.

Ten gilts were handed over to the first cluster from CarCanMadLan represented by their President, Florante Sugian. For the second cluster from CorTanTaBaySanmi, received by Mathew Plaza III. For the third cluster from MaCaSaL, received by Virgilio A. Dalman, and for the fourth cluster from BiBaHiLiTa, received by Bryan Salazar.

The staff from the Office of the Provincial Agriculture Surigao del Sur was also present during the turnover ceremony, represented by Livestock Coordinator Catalino Segismar. (DA-Caraga)
