DTI organizes processed food industry cluster leadership council in Dinagat

SURIGAO CITY, Surigao del Norte, July 20 (PIA) -- The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) in Dinagat Islands led recently the organizational meeting for Dinagat Islands' Processed Food Industry Cluster Leadership Group Council via Zoom platform.

The activity was aimed to establish a sustainable provincial group of processed food producers in the island and eventually become suppliers of processed foods to other provinces.

With the establishment of the said group, the packaging problems of the producers were addressed and enhanced their processed food products.

Jessie Julio of Miss J Food Products was elected as the chairperson of the council.

Industry Cluster Coordinator Freedcarmariam Gonzaga and Annette Anduyan, Senior Trade and Industry Development Specialist of DTI Caraga served as the resource speakers of the said activity that was attended by representatives from different national line agencies and stakeholders.
