18 PDI food producers undergo OTOP ACT session on food packaging 

SAN JOSE, Dinagat Islands, June 23 (PIA) -- The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) in Dinagat Islands has recently conducted the 2021 One Town, One Product (OTOP) Next Gen Assessment, Consultation and Triage (ACT) Session on Food Packaging.


According to DTI Dinagat Islands Provincial Director Elmer M. Natad, the assessment consultation triage session on food packaging will enable the local food producers in the province to achieve new packaging and label designs.


He said that OTOP NextGen program of DTI aims to provide assistance and capacitate the micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) by scaling up their products in the areas of design, quality, volume, and among others.


Around 18 food producers from various business establishments in Dinagat Islands participated in the said session.


The two-day activity was conducted via Zoom platform and one-on-one consultations were made online with the resource speaker Mr. Raynor Zuleta of Raynor of Design Concepts from Manila. (DTI-PDI/PIA-Dinagat Islands)
