facilities receive PPEs, food packs

BISLIG CITY, Surigao del Sur, May 13 -- Several health care
facilities under the second district of the province received recently personal
protective equipment (PPE) and food packs from the Technical Education and
Skills Development Authority (TESDA) and Office of the Deputy Speaker Johnny
Pimentel.
A total of 544 liters of alcohol (disinfectant), 800 pieces washable
face masks, 12 boxes of gloves, 80 food packs (containing canned goods and
packs of instant coffee) and 40 kilos of fresh American lemons were distributed
to the front liners and personnel of Hinatuan District Hospital, Bislig
District Hospital, Lingig Community Hospital, and Bislig City Health Office.
The said distribution was also assisted by the cluster member agencies
of the Poverty Reduction, Livelihood and Employment Cluster (PRLEC) of Surigao
del Sur and the TVET Association of Surigao del Sur (TVETASS), Inc.
The medical supplies (alcohol and gloves) including the food packs came
from the Office of Congressman Pimentel, while the face masks were donated by
TESDA Surigao del Sur and Department of Education Surigao del Sur Division
headed by Schools Division Superintendent Josita Carmen, and the American
lemons were from the TVET Association of Surigao del Sur through their
President Gaspar Rodriguez.
Also, Congressman Pimentel turned-over three brand new ambulances to the
three aforementioned hospitals.
The activity is in support of the Bayanihan to Heal As One-Act, which
calls for an inter-agency partnership and collaboration in the mobilization of
assistance to mitigate transmission of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).

DILG chief lauds
Caraga for accomplishing 100% SAP payout rate
BUTUAN CITY, May 13 (PIA) -- The Department of the Interior and Local
Government (DILG) Secretary Eduardo M. AΓ±o lauded Caraga Region for ensuring
the outright and equitable implementation of the Social Amelioration Program
(SAP) in the region.
During the virtual Management Committee Meeting participated by the DILG
heads and chiefs of the Philippine National Police (PNP), Bureau of Fire
Protection (BFP), Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP), and the
National Police Commission (NAPOLCOM) on May 9, Secretary AΓ±o recognized Caraga
for being the only region with a perfect SAP payout rate and encouraged the
other regions to emulate this feat.
DILG Caraga Regional Director Lilibeth A. Famacion attributed this
success to the strong collaboration between DILG and the Department of Social
Welfare and Development (DSWD) and the efforts of the local government units
(LGUs) in heeding the guidance of the said agencies. This enabled local
protocols to favor the smooth implementation of the SAP.
On the issue on incentivizing the achievement, Director Famacion had
requested SILG AΓ±o about the possibility of enabling all LGUs in the region to
avail the wave of the SAP implementation despite the lifting of the Enhanced
Community Quarantine (ECQ).
Sec. AΓ±o said that he will present the matter to the Inter-Agency Task
Force (IATF) on COVID-19.
The national payout rate of the SAP stands at 85.49 percent, with Caraga
region leading the list, followed by the Bicol region at 99.79 percent,
Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) at 93.92 percent, and Ilocos region at

LUNGSOD NG BUTUAN, Mayo 13 (PIA) -- Patuloy ang pamimigay ng ayuda sa
iba’t ibang local government units (LGUs) ng Agusan del Norte bilang suporta sa
mga residente na apektado ng coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) crisis at
hindi nakatanggap ng assistance maging sa social amelioration fund, TUPAD, at
iba pang assistance mula sa gobyerno at hindi rin kabilang sa 4Ps
beneficiaries.
May kanya-kanyang stratehiya sa pamimigay ang bawat LGU at magkaiba din
ang iinibigay at dami nito depende sa kanilang makakaya.
Sa bayan ng RTR, ayon kay mayor Richard Daquipil, bawat kwalipikadong
household ay makakatanggap ng tig-iisang sako ng bigas. Target din nilang maibigay
ang mahigit isang libo at siyam na raang sako (1,926) upang makatulong sa
kanilang pang araw-araw ng pagkain.
Dagdag pa ni mayor Daquipil, magbibigay din ang LGU ng tig-iisang manok
bawat pamilya.
Sa bayan naman ng Buenavista, ang 2nd wave ng kanilang bigayan ay
nagsimula noong Mayo 7 hanggang 12, bawat kwalipikadong pamilya ay
makakatanggap depende sa dami ng myembro nito.
Ayon din kay Mayor Norbert Pagaspas ng bayan ng Buenavista, Agusan del
Norte, kung ang myembro ng pamilya ay nasa tatlo at pataas, sila ay
makakatanggap ng 20 kilo ng bigas; kung dalawa ang miyembro ay 15 kilo at
sampung kilo para sa isa.
Lahat naman ng kwalipikadong pamilya o hosehold sa lungsod ng
Cabadbaran, sa bayan Magallanes ay tatanggap din ng tig-iisang sakong bigas at
kalahating sako naman sa ibang bayan.
Nagpasalamat di si Jay Sanchez ng Barangay Basilisa sa bayan ng RTR
dahil napakalaking tulong talaga ang bigay ng bigas sa kanila.
Sa ngayon, ang buong probinsya ng Agusan del Norte ay nasa general

SAN JOSE, Dinagat Islands, May 13 (PIA) -- Ang lokal nga pangagamhanan
sa probinsya sa Dinagat Islands nga gipangunahan ni Governor Arlene Kaka Bag-ao
nagpahigayon bag-ohay pa lamang og pagbisita sa mga nanay ug persons with
disabilities (PWDs) aron mahimong kaabag.
Gihimong kaabag sa lokal ng pangagamhanan sa probinsya ang mga nasangpit
nga mga nanay ug PWDs aron maoy manahi og face masks alang sa mga frontliners
ug mga katawhan sa probinsya.
Mikabat sa 28 ka mga partners nga mga gilangkuban sa vulnerable sector,
sama sa mga kababayen-an ug PWD sa lungsod sa San Jose nga dunay katakos sa
pagpangluto ug pagpanahi sa face mask alang sa katawhan nga Dinagatnon maoy
nahimong kaabag ug nakapahimulos sa maong livelihood program.
Matod pa sa usa ka benepisyaryo nga PWD, nga dili rason ang kabilinggan
sa panglawas sa usa ka tawo aron manginabuhi sa tarong nga pamaagi gamit ang
ilang abilidad ug pagkugi.

opisyales sa Barangay Cuarinta ug sa inisyatibo sa Women's Association nga
pagpanahi ug face mask.

sa asosasyon nga kakulangon sa elektrisidad sa ilang tailoring pinaagi sa
pagtaod sa kuryente aron sila maka-overtime panahon nga daghan ang tahi-unon.
