It is moving West Northwestward at 15 km/h. Shear Line affecting the eastern section of Southern Luzon. Northeast Monsoon affecting the rest of Luzon. Mindanao will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms due to Localized Thunderstorms. Possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms. Moderate to strong winds from northeast to northwest will prevail over the western sections of Mindanao with moderate to rough seas (1.2 to 3.1 meters). Elsewhere, moderate winds from the northwest to southwest to southeast with moderate seas (1.2 to 2.5 meters).

AgNor SP approves college educational assistance fund program

BUTUAN CITY, Mar. 28 (PIA) - The Sangguniang Panlalawigan of Agusan del Norte recently approved the Municipal Ordinance No. 015, series of 2017, or the "College Educational Assistance Fund Program (CEAFP) Ordinance" of the municipality of Nasipit, this province.

The ordinance aims to provide educational assistance to poor but deserving students of the municipality. It also aims to promote and institutionalize the municipal education program which is an important aspect of improving student education.

Under the program, qualified students can continue to enroll in any school within Butuan City and Agusan del Norte.

The provincial lawmakers of Agusan del Norte approved the said municipal ordinance based on Section 1, Article XIV of the Philippine Constitution that states "the State shall protect and promote the right of all citizens to quality education at all levels and shall take appropriate steps to make such education accessible to all ".

It was approved during the 73rd regular session through Sanggunian Resolution No. 053-2018, authored by Provincial Board Member Aquino W. Gambe. (LGU-Agusan del Norte/PIA-Agusan del Norte)
