Wind Signal No. 1 is now raised over Dinagat Islands, with more signals expected across the region. ⚠️ Possible hazards include: -Flooding -Landslides -Storm surge -Strong winds ✅ The public is strongly advised to: -Take precautionary measures and follow pre-emptive evacuation, if needed; -Prepare emergency kits and evacuation plans; -Stay informed via official sources: DOST-PAGASA, RDRRMC, LDRRMOs, PIA, and other government channels. Cebuano News: Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn sa Thailand mibisita sa Surigao

SURIGAO CITY, Surigao del Norte, Enero 22 (PIA) - Nagka-atubang sa unang higayon ang pinakataas nga opisyal sa nasod sa Thailand nga si Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn ug ang mga opisyales ning dakbayan ug probinsya.

Nahidangat ang prinsesa niadtong Enero 19, 2016 dinhi sa dakbayan uban ang Thai ambassador, mga miyembro sa Pesidential Security Group, mga opisyales sa Department of Foreign Affairs ug uban pang mga digninitaries.

Si Prinsesa Sirindhorn mibisita didto sa Brgy. Dakong Patag sakop sa lungsod sa Sison alang sa personal nga pag inagurar sa iyang mga proyekto sa maong lugar sama sa mga classrooms, fish pond ug feeding program.

Usa ka welcome luncheon ang gi organisar sa lokal nga pangagamhanan sa probinsya didto sa Gateway Hotel diin nagkauban sa paniudto ang prinsesa ug sila gobernador Sol F. Matugas, bise gobernador Carlos Egay Jr. mayor Ernesto Matugas.

Didto usab sa maong luncheon ang mga miyembro sa sangguniang panlalawigan, mga department heads sa kapitolyo ug mga officials sa Department of Education (DepEd).

Sa hamubong programa nga gipahigayon,  malipayon nga gidawat ug gi abi-abi ni mayor  Matugas ang prinsesa ug iyang grupo ug iyang gi ingon nga mao kini ang unang higayon nga nabisitahan siya ug usa ka royalty gikan sa iyang paglingkod isip mayor niadtong 2010.

Sa iyang mensahe, mipadanagat usab sa iyang dakong kalipay si gobernador Sol Matugas sa pagbisita sa prinsesa dinhi sa probinsya ug sa paghatag niya ug mga proyekto ngadto sa eskwelahan sa Dakong Patag.

Gisaysay sa gobernador ang pagka susama sa mga prayoridad sa iyang administrasyon ug sa mga adbokasiya sa prinsesa sa natad sa edukasyon, maayong panglawas, ang paghatag ug importansya sa mga mag-uuma ug uban pa.

Gidayeg usab sa gobernador ang mahinatagong kasingkasing sa prinsesa diin pareho kini sila nga nahimong Ramon Magsaysay awardee.

Human sa luncheon, ning bisita usab ang prinsesa sa battle of surigao strait museum, cathedral ug sa mosque sa barangay Luna ug dayon mibiya na kini paingon ngadto sa Tacloban. (PGO-PIC)
