Alegria MPS intensifies anti-drug abuse campaign
ALEGRIA, Surigao del Norte, Dec. 17 (PIA) - The
Municipal Police Station (MPS) of Alegria in Surigao del Norte intensifies its
campaign against illegal drugs by conducting a drug symposium to the parents
and grades 4 and 5 pupils of Ombong Elementary School on Dec. 16, 2015 at the
schools covered court.
The activity aims to educated the pupils and the
parents on the ill-effects of illegal drugs to mind and body of a person.
In his lecture, Alegria MPS officer-in-charge P/Insp.
Cesar E. Gealogo said that the use of illegal drugs is one of the perennial
problems of the society.
He said that if no one will fight to stop the
proliferation of illegal drugs, the community will soon become the victim,
"but Alegria is still fortunate that there are teachers, pupils and
parents who advocated for a drug free community." (SDR/Alegria

DSWD-Caraga prepares for TD ‘Onyok’
BUTUAN CITY, Dec. 17 (PIA) - The Department of
Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office Caraga is now preparing as
PAG-ASA severe weather bulletin raised Signal No.1 to all the five provinces in
Caraga namely, Agusan del Norte, Agusan del Sur, Province of Dinagat Islands,
Surigao del Norte, and Surigao del Sur due to tropical depression (TD) Onyok.
Early this morning, it was reported by PAG-ASA
that TD Onyok is already in the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) and
will make landfall tomorrow, December 18 in the region.
The Field Office has already installed monitoring
screen inside the Disaster Response and Recovery Operations Unit (DRROU) office
for more visible timely updates from PAG-ASA and the track of the storm.
A total of 14,486 family food packs amounting to
P6,059,783.52 are already prepositioned to the DSWD Warehouse in Brgy.
Tiniwisan, this city and the following local government units (LGUs), readily
available for augmentation: Loreto (PDI), Tubajon, Libjo, Burgos, Socorro,
Pilar, Dapa, Tubay, Jabonga, Surigao del Norte, and Surigao del Sur.
Non-food items amounting to P4,255,740.12 are also
available anytime augmentation is needed by LGUs.
Today, the Regional Disaster Response Committee
members convened at the DSWD-Caraga regional office here.
Provincial, Municipal, and City Action Teams
(P/C/MATs) are alerted and are advised to monitor and submit updated real time
reports on the status of affected areas in the region.
The Quick Response Team (QRT) in the region is
already activated and leaders conducted a meeting this afternoon to discuss
preparations and actions in relation to TD Onyok. The team members are readying

sa pagdumala ni Mayor Ramon Mondano diin nagkahiusa ang mga taga Mainit ug
nagpakita sa usa ka malig-on nga pamilya diin pinaagi sa maong festival
napakita ang kahiusahan nga maoy malig-on nga sumbanan sa kalambuan.

sa turismo sa mainland diin ubay-ubay na ang mga turista nga mibisita sa mga
tourist spot niini sama sa Togonan Falls, Mapaso, Lake Mainit ug Kasili Resort.
