SurSur guv confirms attendance for SONA

By Greg Tataro Jr.

TANDAG CITY, Surigao del Sur, July 25 (PIA) – Surigao del Sur governor Johnny Pimentel has already confirmed his attendance to the Joint Session of Congress to hear the State of the Nation Address (SONA) of President Benigno Aquino III on July 27, 2015 at the House of Representatives in Quezon City.

The confirmation was contained in a reply form that was faxed back before June 23, 2015, according to Cheryl Plaza, assistant secretary to the governor.

Governor Pimentel has received a letter, which also serves as basis for “finalizing security and protocolar arrangements,” from Atty. Arlene Dada-Arnaldo, Deputy Secretary General for Committee Affairs dated June 10, 2015, requesting to confirm attendance to the historic occasion.

On such an important event, a “Task Force to Assist in the Preparation for the Joint Session of Congress to Hear the State of the Nation Address (SONA) of the President” is created, it was learned. (NGBT/Radyo ng Bayan-Tandag/PIA-Surigao del Sur)
